Little Women Book Coaster

Description:

White lilies on deep green, gilt scroll borders, and "One Shilling" at the head — a Victorian "Lily Series" cover from an 1870s London edition, publisher's line and all. A handmade coaster modeled after a little hardback, spine and all.

Look closely at the byline: "by the author of Good Wives." Little Women was published in two parts, and when the second part crossed the Atlantic, British publishers gave it a title of their own — Good Wives — one Alcott never chose. The name stuck so firmly in England that covers like this one ended up introducing her masterpiece by way of its own sequel.

Why you'll love it:

• A Victorian Lily Series cover — white lilies, ornate gilt borders, and the original publisher's lettering — in full color
• Handmade from reclaimed wood and shaped like a miniature hardback, printed spine and all
• Fully sealed with a semigloss high-performance top coat — condensation and spills wipe clean
• Felt feet on the back keep your table free of scratches

Perfect for: Little Women readers, cocoa-weather evenings, or a gift between sisters.
