Anne of Green Tea Gables Loose Leaf Tea

Three or more tins ship at set pricing — $20 each.

Description:

Anne of Green Tea Gables — a bright blend of sencha green tea with orange peel and raspberry pieces, inspired by L. M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables. It comes in an illustrated cylinder tin made to be kept, with a watercolor quote bookmark included.

The raspberry is a wink at the book's most famous tea gone wrong. Anne invites her best friend Diana to tea and pours what she believes is Marilla's raspberry cordial — it's actually homemade currant wine. Diana drinks three tumblerfuls, goes home dizzy, and the friendship is briefly forbidden. Montgomery titled the chapter "Diana Is Invited to Tea with Tragic Results." This blend, we're pleased to report, is only tea.

Why you'll love it:

• Sencha green tea, orange peel, and raspberry — bright, fruity, and crisp
• A tin made to be kept — illustrated, sturdy, at home on the tea shelf
• Watercolor quote bookmark included — for the chapter you leave to fetch the kettle
• Moderate caffeine, about 22 cups per tin — made for afternoon reading

Perfect for: Kindred spirits, afternoon tea drinkers, Anne fans, or a literary gift with a story behind the raspberry.
