Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Book Coaster

Description:

The Cheshire Cat has just appeared in his tree, and Alice — hands behind her back — is deciding what to make of him. This handmade coaster wears John Tenniel's illustration of that meeting in full color, modeled after a little hardback with the original cover lettering: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, illustrated by John Tenniel.

It's the scene where the cat famously vanishes — slowly, tail first — until nothing is left but his smile. "A grin without a cat," Alice marvels: the most curious thing she ever saw in all her life. On this cover, the grin stays put.

Why you'll love it:

• John Tenniel's original Chapter 6 illustration, in full color — the most recognizable cat in literature, on your table
• Handmade from reclaimed wood and shaped like a miniature hardback, printed spine and all
• Fully sealed with a semigloss high-performance top coat — condensation and spills wipe clean
• Felt feet on the back keep your table free of scratches

Perfect for: Wonderland readers, tea-and-book evenings, or anyone whose coffee table could use a little curiosity.
