Description:

A vintage-style cover in deep brown. A full moon, a few bats, and a black castle against the night sky. The title sits in tall gold letters, with the author's name below. A handmade coaster modeled after a little hardback, spine and all.

Dracula began on a seaside holiday. Bram Stoker was staying in Whitby, a small fishing town on the English coast. In the town library, he found the name "Dracula" in an old history book and wrote it down. He liked the town so much that he put it in the story: the vampire's ship washes up at Whitby, right below the ruined abbey on the cliff. The town still celebrates it. Twice a year, fans dressed in black fill its streets for a goth weekend.

Why you'll love it:

  • A vintage-style cover in deep brown — the full moon, the bats, and the castle
  • Handmade from reclaimed wood and shaped like a miniature hardback, printed spine and all
  • Fully sealed with a semigloss high-performance top coat — condensation and spills wipe clean
  • Felt feet on the back keep your table free of scratches

Perfect for: October decorators, late-night readers, or anyone who likes a seaside town with a spooky side.

Details:

  • Material: reclaimed wood, handmade
  • Dimensions: approx. 4.25" × 3.75" × 0.5"
  • Finish: fully sealed, semigloss top coat
  • Backing: felt feet
  • A solid piece — modeled after a book, does not open

The kind of coaster you leave out on purpose.
