Description:

A faux leather coin purse and card wallet in soft grey, inspired by Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca — an ornate wrought-iron gate wound with red roses across the front, the title and author set within it. On the back, the novel's opening line: "Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again."

The gate on the front is the first thing in the book. Rebecca opens with the narrator dreaming she's returned to Manderley and finds its iron gates "barred to me… padlocked and chained" — so she passes through them like a ghost, and finds the drive overgrown and the house a ruin. Notice whose name is on the gate: it's Rebecca's, the dead first wife, not the narrator's. Du Maurier never gives her narrator a name at all — she is only ever "the second Mrs de Winter" — while the woman she's living in the shadow of gets the title, the house, and this purse.

Why you'll love it:

  • Manderley's iron gate and red roses on soft grey faux leather
  • The novel's opening line printed on the back
  • Zip-top coin purse sized for cards and cash — pocket-friendly
  • Lightweight at 3.53 oz

Perfect for: Du Maurier readers, gothic-fiction lovers, or anyone who likes an everyday piece with a haunted house behind it.
