Description:

A small ceramic book on a red ribbon, with the pages ridged along the top and a gold ring to hang it from. The cover is cream with a gold scrolled border, pine trees drawn in grey behind the title, and Christopher Robin and Pooh sitting together on the grass at the foot of it. The spine carries the title and Pooh standing on his own, and the back has a single red balloon.

The House at Pooh Corner is the second and last of A.A. Milne's Pooh books, the one that brings Tigger into the Forest and ends with Christopher Robin going away. Nobody in the book says where. The last chapter takes the boy and his bear to an enchanted place at the very top of the Forest, and the book's final line leaves them there, where, in Milne's words, "a little boy and his Bear will always be playing." The two figures on this cover are from that last walk.

Why you'll love it:

  • A book for the tree, light enough for a branch and small enough for a wreath or a garland
  • Cream, gold and grey, with one red ribbon and one red balloon, so it sits quietly among brighter ornaments
  • The ending of the book on one cover, for anyone who remembers it
  • Ready to hang, with a red ribbon loop

Perfect for: a child's first ornament, a reader's tree, a new parent, or anyone who was read these stories at bedtime.

Details:

  • Material: Ceramic, with a red ribbon loop and gold hanging ring
  • Printed on the front, back and spine
  • Keep the ornament away from children and pets; it is ceramic and will break if dropped

Hang it low enough for a small reader to find.
