Description:

War and Peach — a soft white tea with peach and pineapple, rounded with chamomile and sunflower, named for the fruit at the center of it. Inspired by Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace, it comes in an illustrated cylinder tin — a cannon among ripe peaches on deep purple — and includes a bookmark. Moderate caffeine: an afternoon cup, gentle enough for a long chapter.

Tolstoy insisted that War and Peace was not a novel. "It is not a novel," he wrote when it was published, "still less an epic poem, still less a historical chronicle" — it was simply, he said, what he had wanted to express, in the form in which it came out. The book the world would file under the greatest novels ever written was, by its author's own account, something else entirely. Call this tea whatever you like too; it pours the same.

Why you'll love it:

  • White tea with peach, pineapple, chamomile, and sunflower — soft, sweet, and steady
  • Illustrated cylinder tin — cannon and peaches on deep purple, at home on the tea shelf
  • Includes a bookmark, because this tea assumes you're mid-chapter
  • About 22 cups per tin — an afternoon ritual that lasts

Perfect for: Afternoon-tea drinkers, ambitious readers, peach tea fans, or a gift that believes in someone's reading list.
